Nice August Beach Trip

Last Sunday in August turned out to offer the most lovely weather from the moment we got off the boat on the island – even though it had been raining heavily on the way from Bangkok to Pattaya and it had drizzled during the boat trip from Pattaya to Koh Pai. The forecast had also told us to expect an increase in wind speed to 13 knots in the afternoon – giving us white caps on the waves – but somehow it did not happen. Instead, the wind actually slowed down. So when we eventually went home late afternoon with the sun setting over the Gulf of Thailand, it was a swift, smooth ride.
