Naturist Vacation to Thailand made easy!

From 1. November 2021, all you need to go on a naturist vacation to Thailand is to get the “Thailand Pass” and pass a test on arrival. The new Thailand Pass replaces the old Certificate of Entry previously needed to enter Thailand.

The info-graphic below shows you the simple steps to get the Thailand Pass:

Go to https://tp.consular.go.th/
Upload:
1. your passport
2. Covid-19 vaccination document
3. Covid-19 insurance
4. your reservation at a ASQ or SHA+ hotel for the first night
5. Copy of visa (if needed – ask your nearest Thai embassy)

This is the process for fully vaccinated arriving from a ‘low risk’ country

If you arrive from one of the 46 countries deemed to be low risk, you only have to stay one night in an SHA+ certified hotel or alternative quarantine hotel for one night while they await the result of a RT-PCR test taken at your arrival.

If the test is negative, you are free to travel anywhere in Thailand without restrictions.

Entry point can be any of six approved airports: Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Samui and U-Tapao. The seventh airport, Buriram can only be used for charter flights.

Upon arrival, you must download the Mor Chana mobile app.

Below is another info-graphic showing you the same procedure in a wider perspective.

Most visitors will fall into the category above, coming from one of the 46 low risk countries and having had their vaccinations. But the exceptions can still come. See below the two most common exceptions.

Just found a third inf0-graphic which is also great. Follow the green numbered dots. Notice the self-test on 6th day – not mentioned above, but it will likely be true.

1. What if I am arriving from a non low risk country

The first exception from the simple rule above is if you are fully vaccinated but arrive from a country not listed among the 46 low risk countries, you are required to stay at an SHA+ hotel in a Blue Zone ‘sandbox’ area for seven nights.  If they test negative on day 6 or 7 of their stay, they are free to travel elsewhere in Thailand.

All of Thailand’s main tourist destinations are ‘sandbox’ areas, such as Bangkok and Phuket. However, some provinces are only opening certain districts to tourists.

For example, in Chonburi, tourists are only allowed to visit Bang Lamung, Pattaya, Sri Racha, Ko Si Chang and Bang Saray. In Prachuap Khiri Khan, tourists from non low risk countries can visit Hua Hin and Nong Khae districts.

Thailand is calling this process ‘Living in the Blue Zone’. See here the list of 17 ‘Blue Zone’ destinations

  • Bangkok
  • Krabi
  • Chon Buri (Banglamung, Pattaya, Si Racha, Ko Si Chang, and Sattahip – Na Jomtien and Bang Sarey)
  • Chiang Mai (Mueang, Doi Tao, Mae Rim, and Mae Taeng)
  • Trat (Ko Chang)
  • Buri Ram (Mueang)
  • Prachuap Khiri Khan (Hua Hin and Nong Kae)
  • Phang-Nga
  • Phetchaburi (Cha-Am)
  • Phuket
  • Ranong (Ko Phayam)
  • Rayong (Ko Samet)
  • Loei (Chiang Khan)
  • Samut Prakan (Suvarnabhumi Airport)
  • Surat Thani (Ko Samui, Ko Pha-ngan, and Ko Tao)
  • Nong Khai (Mueang, Sangkhom, Si Chiang Mai, and Tha Bo)
  • Udon Thani (Mueang, Ban Dung, Kumphawapi, Na Yung, Nong Han, and Prachaksinlapakhom)

2. What if I am not fully vaccinated?

The second exception from the first rule is if you are not vaccinated or only partially vaccinated – regardless which country you come from. In that case, you are required to stay in an alternative quarantine hotel for 10 nights. If they test negative on day 9 or 10 of their stay they can travel to other areas of Thailand.

Hello Gregers, hox are you, are Barefeet or Chan Resort SHA+ or ASQ? If not, will it be in March 2022? If not, what hotel SHA+ or ASQ do you advise for the first night arriving in Suvarnabhumi?
