Beach Trip with a twist

The Beach Trip on Sunday 28 May 2017 was disrupted by a hysterical Russian guide – I wonder if he had a license – who screamed at us and demanded that we left “his” spot to his group because “this was his spot!”

In keeping with our motto “we don’t want to offend anyone” we decided to move. Our boat took us to the southernmost beach on Koh Pai and there we found a great spot under the trees where we could spread our sheet and settle down for lunch.

The day had started quite horribly, since they had arrange a triathlon in Pattaya and to accommodate the sporty participants, they had shut down one lane of Sukhumvit and closed the beach, where we usually depart from, to allow for the swimmers to go on their round. Our boat had made an arrangement with us to meet on Jomtien Beach instead by the Police office. But last minute he decided that we could use the Bali Hai pier. When we told him to come out to the place we had agreed to, he couldn’t because now they had started swimming. Halfbrain!

It was out luck, that we were kicked off our regular spot, because the southern beach is quite beautiful. But there did land two catamarans witn regular tourists and we realize that as tourist seem to avoid Koh Larn and the restaurants there, who may have vbecome too greedy, we have no longer “our” beach to ourselves.

So where do we go next.??

Bruce and I – Gregers – have some ideas and we will hopefully have it all in place for the 25 June Beach Trip. Wait and see!
