Nude cruise on house raft a success
Eleven members of Naturist Association Thailand had great fun relaxing in the sun and playing in a huge lake in Kanchanaburi in the weekend of 28 and 29 November 2015.
The Association had rented a house raft boat for the weekend. When we arrived, it was tied up on the small pier, but once we were all there, a motor raft tugged us out to a quiet spot on the lake where we anchored up over night.
Some of us had joined Bruce Kendall in his car coming up from Pattaya, others came with Gregers Moller and Disraporn in a rented mini-bus. A Malaysian couple had flown in from Penang for the trip and a Filipino had flown in from Myanmar to join the local Thai group.
When we were anchored and the motorboat was gone, we were all quickly out of our clothes, ready to be nude for the next 24 hours on the cruise. Takis, who was the first one to be in the water, announced how surprisingly warm the water was. And it was true. Considering the freshwater lake was a dam at quite a high altitude, the water was very warm and we could stay in the water as long as we liked.

The raft was equipped with a floating platform, which could hold two people sitting or three people laying across it, and two old surfboards without sails just to fool around with. Judy managed to learn how to kneel on it – personally I lost track of how many attempts I had before I gave up!

I had just completed my Thai oil massage course at Barefeet Naturist Resort and was asking all the other members for a chance to practice my newly learned skills on them. Most members dared to volunteer and I got great practice with me home.
Dinner was prepared for us from the shore and delivered by boat. It turned out to be a well equipped buffet with a curry dish, chicken fried with cashew nuts, fried vegetables, fried chicken drum sticks and other delicacies served with plenty of steamed white rice. For drinking, each participant had brought what they liked and all shared generously their contribution.

After dark, we turned on the disco light, but somehow the karaoke system that we thought we had rented too, was moved off the raft before we were tugged out. It was not so bad, because from across the lake, we could in the pitch dark tropical night clearly hear the distant karaoke from a party on another boat. And I think most of us were very happy that this other boat was indeed far far away.
The sleeping quarters was one big room upstairs, but we were several who decided to move our mattress down on the platform around the raft so that we could lie down and look directly up into the endless universe with its myriad of tinkling stars. After midnight, there was absolutely no sound to be heard except a silent creaking of our own raft against its mooring.
Next morning, we prepared our own breakfast. We had brought eggs, jam, cheese, bread, juice, coffee and tea but to toast the bread we had to turn on our generator. It was mostly not turned on, except when we need 220 Volt for either our toaster or for charging our mobile phone – most of them had no cell coverage, but you could still use them as cameras and reply to old emails etc.

After breakfast a stream of other house boats were surprisingly coming around the corner to our hidden cove and tugged right pass by our raft in what seemed to be a routinely operated sightseeing trip around the island. Some of the passengers on the boats cheered when they saw us, others were just staring in disbelief. There must be at least one hundred travelers on these rafts who this morning got some unexpected sightseeing – eleven nude people playing around like kids with the natural beauty of the lake and the island as background. If we had brought our banner with us displaying the address of this website, we could probably have enrolled a few dozen new members right there and then!
Eventually, it was our time to be tugged back to the pier.
Back on shore, we discussed with the owner if we could arrange the next NATCON in June 2016 on a cluster of rafts like the one we had been staying on. She promised us, that if we realized this plan, she would anchor us up another place where we would not be an added attraction for other rafting groups on their regular sightseeing tour.

On the way back to Bangkok, we visited the bridge in Kanchanaburi and had a nice lunch.
So take note of this if you regret that you did not join us on this trip:

An excellent weekend trip, so much fun with good friends and making new one.
It was like one tribe of naked natives living on the water.
I tried fishing but no luck, maybe next time.
To those members that didnt make this trip, there is next time.
You missed a great nude adventure.
Bruce
Yep, we had one good one there!
Sounds like you all had a great time and something very different to the norm. NATCON 2016 sounds like a lot of fun too, but doubt we will be able to come. Mind you – it is a long way off yet and you just never know!
Really look like full with fun. (Both of us are non swimmers)
From the videos, the tourist are getting nearer and nearer.
So nice and polite of them to waves back. Fantastic.
Yes, we certainly met no angry reaction.
This was the first ever naturist event that I attended. Miss the good old days.
I also have good memories of that one!
