Wake up, FaceBook! – we are all born naked!

To put an end to the censorship of non-sexual nudity on social media, naturist federations from more than 30 countries worldwide, together with the International Human Rights Foundation, have written to Meta, urging them to stop this practice.

The censorship of nude recreation and naturism on social media is not only harmful to our enjoyable pastime and/or lifestyle, but also to the broader societal view, where the distinction between a 'normal naked body' and sex is increasingly blurred. While a naked body is actually nothing to be ashamed of. No one is born wearing clothes!

For these reasons, an open letter has been sent directly to Meta, and all the involved federations are making a statement on Facebook. Additionally, a press release has been sent to national media to raise awareness of the issue.

Read the press release from the overarching international organization INF-FNI - International Naturist Federation to Meta.

We are humans

When NASA's space craft Pioneers 10 and 11 both went into space, they both carried small metal plaques identifying their time and place of origin for the benefit of any other spacefarers that might find them in the distant future.

The golden plaque was the brainchild of Carl Sagan who wanted any alien civilization who might encounter the craft to know who made it and how to contact them.

It gives our location in the Galaxy and depicts a naked man and woman drawn in relation to the spacecraft.

Pioneer 10 is heading towards the star Aldebaran in the Taurus constellation and will take more than two million years to reach it. Pioneer 11 is headed toward the constellation of Aquila (The Eagle), Northwest of the constellation of Sagittarius. Pioneer 11 will pass near one of the stars in the constellation in about 4 million years.

This is how human beings look.
