Naturist resorts in Thailand have agreed that guests who are referred to them by a fellow naturist resort will be entitled to a 10 percent discount on their room throughout their stay. The guest could also be referred to them by Naturist Association Thailand.

The resorts also became signatories to a new agreement among the resorts to actively defend each other in case guests should spread negative opinions about other naturist resorts.

The naturist resort meeting took place in Phuket on Monday 28 November and was the first time after Covid where the resorts could meet and discuss matters of mutual interests.

The meeting was called in by Paulo Richel, the owner of the Oriental Beach Village which will reopen on 1 December 2022. The other resorts in the meeting were Chan Resort Pattaya, Barefeet Naturist Resort Bangkok, Peace Blue Naiharn Phuket, Harmony Rawai Phuket, and Oasis Villa Phuket.

The resorts also agreed to create a map of Thailand with all the resorts linked to their locations and displaying a QR code to the home page of each resort. A brochure with a description of all the resorts presented together will also be produced. Disraporn Yatprom, who - apart from being the owner of Barefeet Naturist Resort in Bangkok is also professionally a Graphic Designer - offered to create the artwork and provide a price offer for printing the map in different sizes from poster size to A4 flyer.

The resorts also discussed ways of moving Naturist Association Thailand forward. The first step of the strategy is to headhunt for an independent Secretary General of the association. The ideal candidate is a young Thai graduate in a relevant field to be in charge of creating events for the members. The person will also be tasked with working with the tourism authorities to include naturism in Thailand's tourism campaigns abroad similar to the current inclusion of LGBTQ+ in the Thai tourism campaigns. On the domestic front, the candidate should also work with the forestry department and the national parks authority to establish locations for naturist in areas under their control.

Interested candidates are encouraged to send their CV to [email protected][email protected]
