just one question from me: since the group was nude in the public place (in this case beach), would Thai authority could make a fuss or are we securely protected legally ?
Dear Alex, it is generally accepted in Thai hospitality industry that a resort that runs along a shore line or beach also can count this beach as their private beach. We had drawn up a formal, legal lease of the resort for the two days in question and this included the beachfront that it commanded. We did not put up barbed wire at the entry points but we put up polite notices, that should anyone decide to proceed to the beach they would likely encounter people without clothes. Many did pass the signs and came to the beach – some out of curiosity, some to participate and I know of only one negative remark by a “stray” visitor. If a resort in a more remote place takes up this indication of an untapped tourism stream for Thailand based on the prosperous and well-behaved naturists of the world – they would certainly be in a lucrative niche!
Dear All, sadly we have to say that we can no longer recommend going to Ao Nuan for a nude sunbath. The national park police has visited the owner and instructed her not to accept this in the future or she will loose her license.
The problem is that the beach is within the national park where the public must have free access, so the beach can not be closed off for private parties. We MUST find a beach resort that is not in a national park and make a similar arrangement there. So this is a small setback, but we will prevail.

Felt happy that some ‘stray” visitors actually joins in and to be nude.
Interesting to note that some “Non Members” joins in for the yoga at dawn.(morning)
Most important is that all participants went home with happy memories and safe.
Thank You to the Ao Nang resort’s owner for their willingness to try.
It’s worth to mention Thank You to the local police for not making a big issue out of
Naturalist Tourism and not a single warrant of arrest and Interpol alert.
Do hope that there are some remotely located beach resorts which are situated on Private Property
do try out this segment of Naturalist Tourism .
For all i do know, nudist are the best behave tourist and does not cause any ruckus.
We don’t even litter or leave garbage and broken bottles on the beach.

Thank you, Johan & Pink. I very much agree. The authorities have made their point in the true Thai spirit that – politely but firmly. As for the owner of the Ao Nuan Beach resort, she deserves your praise, indeed!
So the official objection is to the curbed public access, and not to the nudity?
