Event Navigation

On Saturday 30 August 2025, Barefeet Naturist Resort will host a nude Shibari workshop — the traditional Japanese art of rope bondage, celebrated for its beauty, artistry, and mindful connection between participants. Visiting Shibari experts will lead the demonstration and offer members to try themselves.
2:00–4:00 pm – Beginners’ Shibari Workshop
Learn the basics in a safe, respectful naturist environment. This hands-on session introduces you to the essential knots, ties, and techniques that form the foundation of Shibari.
4:00 pm – Underwater Shibari Photo Session
We take the art to the pool, where the ropes and forms transform in the flowing, weightless world underwater. A unique visual experience for participants and spectators alike. Session is conducted by a professional underwater photographer.
While Shibari is not for everyone to try, everyone is welcome to watch. Whether you participate or simply observe, you will be part of an inspiring and unforgettable event.
Barefeet charges only normal member cost of 80 THB per hour. Food and drinks available. Show or get a membership by the door.

Interesting . . but in my opinion, inappropriate for a Naturist forum. Shibari ( look it up) is on the edge of and derived from sadomasochism which is a sexual practice. Naturism as a movement usually tries to steer away from focusing on sex. I am looking at this ad through the eyes of a newbie and just wondering what they would make of it. The photos are really disturbing . . torture? bondage? abuse of women? They conjure up unpleasant, decidedly NON-Naturist thoughts. Its just me perhaps, but I dont see any connection to social Naturism.
Hey Beltran,
your words are absolutely understandable and comprehensible in the way you explained. But, another perspective, bondage is a very intense way of feeling your body, the boarders where it ends and begins. Bondage is a very deep and trustful relationship between people. It’s not about dominating someone or to get abused. It’s about feeling, trust, connection and respecting each other. Without that, bondage doesn’t work. So in my world it’s nothing about sexuality of people. But bondage is used for sexual context in society.
For me it’s absolutely about feelings and the relationship to your body and your body with environment. And in that point, the nature of your body, bondage fits in the philosophy of naturism. But it’s just my point of view.
