The Great Fig Leaf Run and Bird Watching

Naturist association Thailand invites all Paid or Premium members of Naturist Association Thailand and members of other International Naturist Federations World Wide to join this year's  Great Fig Leaf Run in a secluded forest area 4 hours drive by car out of Bangkok. This year, the run will take place on Saturday 21- Sunday 22 October 2017.

The run is not a public event and participation is restricted for only Paid or Premium members of Naturist Association Thailand. Members of INF-FNI federations from other countries World Wide are invited and will be taken particularly good care of. Please inform when booking, that you are INF-FNI member already and from which country.

The event starts in the morning with organized transportation from Bangkok to a resort near the running trail. In the evening, a simple Spaghetti dinner is served. Next morning, all gets up at 6:00 and get ready to leave in 10 minutes.

The run itself is either a 2,5 km walk, or a 5 km or 10 km run. The trail is a gravel road in the jungle. All participants receive a fig leaf like the one Adam wore in paradise when God called him out and asked him the famous question: "Who told you, that you were naked?"

After the run, we have a hearty breakfast together at a friends place nearby.

As an add-on, members who are interested can continue on a trip with a special ranger guided tour to watch birds and kratings (a Thai jungle ox) in nearby area.

To join, you need to be a Paid or Premium Member of Naturist Association Thailand or a member of an INF-FNI association elsewhere in the world. If that is not the case, you can upgrade online here: http://thailandnaturist.com/membership-options/

Water Fall, Bird Watching and Gaur Watching event

This event was created for participants in "The Great Fig Leaf Run" but you may join it as a "stand alone" event.

For participants in the Great Fig Leaf Run, it starts after breakfast, leaving around 11.00

11.30 - Meetup PTT Gasolin Station near Wat Bu Pai on the 304 road from Ratchasima (Korat) to Kabinburi. Here is a link.  To reach here from Bangkok, start around 7.30 and go over Prachinburi, Kabinburi.

11.45 - Go along the road to the "Nam Tok Man Far" - or the Blue Curtain Water Fall - but continue to another waterfall which is seldom visited by outsiders. You can drive to within 1 km of the waterfall. From there walk to the waterfall.

15.00 - Leave from the water fall, to watch more birds in an adjacent area with higher chances. The chance to view Siam Fireback Pheasant is very high. Participants must bring own binoculars or accept that they only see the wild life with their eyesight .

16.00 - Leave from Bird Watching area for the Krating watching area. The Krating is a jungle ox, a Gaur species, also called Indian Bison. Their appearance depend on if they are out grazing right there on their regular spot that day - or for some reason went elsewhere.

Around 17.00  we leave back for Bangkok. The drive is approx. 4 hours.
